Mobile agent-based approach for resource discovery in peer-to-peer
Abstract Peer-to-peer networks are
distributed computing infrastructures that can provide globally
available network resources. Their size and complexity continue to
increase and permit an almost ubiquitous availability of resources.
Therefore, new discovery approaches are required and need to be highly
flexible in order to cope with a dynamically changing environment. In
this paper, a distributed agent-based approach for resource discovery
in peer-to-peer network is proposed. This approach is based on the
mobile agent paradigm and uses random walks to allow dynamic and
adaptive resource discovery. We analyze this approach through three
distributed resource discovery scenarios by NS2 simulator. |
